Microsoft Teams Integration with Thunai

Thunai AI’s Teams integration is designed to enhance communication and automate workflows within Teams workspaces. By linking Thunai AI with Teams, businesses can improve real-time collaboration, streamline meeting summaries, and engage in secure AI-powered interactions. The integration provides an intuitive way to access AI features directly within Teams groups and DMs.


Key Features of Thunai AI's Teams Integration:

  1. Meeting Summary Post to  Teams Groups:

    Automatically posts meeting summaries from the Call Agent to a configured Teams  group after each meeting.

  2. Teams Direct Messaging:

    Enables direct interaction with Thunai AI via Teams DMs, providing a consistent, secure, and optimized AI experience.

  3. Executive Query Assistant (Mention Bot):

    Users can mention Thunai AI in a designated Teams Group to ask queries and receive AI-driven responses.

  4. Teams Brain Notes:

    Captures and organizes important messages in a designated Teams Group for easy retrieval and future reference.


Step-by-Step Guide to Integrating Thunai AI with Slack:

Step 1 - Login to Thunai Portal:

  1. Open the Thunai portal: https://app.thunai.ai/.
  2. Sign in using your Thunai credentials.

Step 2 - Connect Teams to Thunai:

  1. In the Thunai portal, navigate to the Applications section in the side menu.
  2. Locate the Teams card and click the Connect button.
  3. Verify your workspace and click accept to authorize the connection.
  4. After authorization, click Continue to complete the connection to Teams.
  5. Once connected, click the Explore button to start configuring Teams features.

Step 3 - Configure Teams Features:

  1. Meeting Summary Post to Teams Group:
    • Click on the teams card.
    • From the Meeting Summary card, select a Teams groups.
    • Click Save to configure the groups.
    • After configuration, meeting summaries from the Meeting Assistants will be automatically posted to the selected teams groups after each meeting.


  1. Teams Direct Messaging:
    • Enable the Direct Message toggle.
    • Click Save to activate this feature.
    • You can now engage directly with Thunai AI via Slack DMs.

Once you enable the Direct Message toggle in the Thunai portal, open your microsoft teams app, click Add App, search for Thunai AI, and click open. You can then start using the Direct Message feature.



  1. Executive Query Assistant (Mention Bot):
    • Select a teams and a Chat Agent.

      Click Save to enable the configuration.

      Once set up, you can mention Thunai AI (e.g., @Thunai AI) in the selected teams group to ask queries.

      • Example: @Thunai AI What services do you provide?

  1. Teams Brain Notes:
    • Select Brain Notes as the note type.
    • Choose a Teams groups where the notes will be captured.
    • Click Save to complete the setup.
    • Only the user who configures the Brain Notes can remove them from the group.
    • Messages posted in the selected groups will automatically be added to Thunai AI’s Brain Notes for easy reference in the future.


Integration with Agents

Microsoft Teams can be integrated with Chat, Voice, and Email Agents to simplify collaboration. Based on predefined workflows, conversation summaries are automatically shared to the mapped Teams group chat, ensuring teams stay updated without switching between tools.

2. Voice Agents

  • Send Conversation Summary – Capture summaries from voice interactions and send them to mapped Teams group chats.
  • Workflow-Based Mapping – Ensure summaries are routed to the right Teams group chat as per workflow rules.
  • Authorization (Optional Security Layer) – Secure posting with OTP or voice authentication.

3. Email Agents

  • Send Conversation Summary – Extract summaries from email interactions and forward them to mapped Teams group chats.
  • Workflow-Based Mapping – Route summaries to the appropriate Teams group chat based on workflow mapping.
  • Authorization (Optional Security Layer) – Use OTP or email verification before allowing summaries to be sent.
