Step 1:
Login Into Thunai
You can open the Thunai application and sign in to your account.
Navigate to WhatsApp Settings:
- Click on the “WhatsApp” option in the menu.
Select the “Connect” button to begin setup.
Enter Required Details:
Fill in the following fields:
- WhatsApp Access Token (provided by WhatsApp/Meta).
- Phone Number ID (associated with your WhatsApp Business account).
Webhook Verify Token (create a custom, secure token of your choice).
Click “Submit” to save the details.
Step 2 :
Retrieve Webhook Information:
Return to the “WhatsApp” section in the menu.
- You’ll now see:
- Webhook URL (copy this for integration).
- Webhook Verify Token (ensure it matches the token you entered earlier).
- Note: The Verify Token must be identical to the one you set in previous steps for successful validation.
This process ensures your WhatsApp account is securely linked to Thunai for seamless communication.
Step 3:
- Go to the Meta for Developers website.
- Log in with your Facebook credentials or sign up for a new account if you don’t have one.
- In the top-right corner, click on "My Apps", then select "Create App".
- Choose "Business" as the app type and click Continue.
- Enter the required details, including your App Name and contact Email, and select your Business Account.
- Finally, click "Create App" to complete the setup.
Step 4:
Integrate WhatsApp with Your App
- In your app’s dashboard, navigate to the left-hand menu and click on "Add Product".
- Scroll through the list of products, find "WhatsApp", and click "Set Up".
- You’ll be redirected to the WhatsApp settings page within your app to proceed with the configuration.
Step 5:
Obtain Your Meta Access Token
Access Business Settings:
- Log in to your Meta Developer account and navigate to Business Settings.
- Go to Accounts > WhatsApp Accounts.
- Link Your App to a WhatsApp Business Account:
- Choose an existing WhatsApp Business Account or create a new one.
- Generate a Permanent Access Token:
- In Business Settings, go to the Users section and select System Users.
- Click Add to create a new system user and assign the Admin role.
- Under the created system user, click Generate Access Token.
- Set Required Permissions:
- Ensure the access token includes the following permissions:
whatsapp_business_messaging
whatsapp_business_management
business_management
This access token will allow your app to interact securely with the WhatsApp Business API.
Step 6:
Configure the Webhook in Meta
- Access Your App Dashboard:
- Log in to your Meta Developer account and click on "Your App" from the dashboard.
- Navigate to WhatsApp Settings:
- In the side menu, find the "Products" section and select "WhatsApp".
- Click on "Configuration" under the WhatsApp settings
- Set Up the Webhook:
- Enter the Webhook URL and the Verify Token you copied from Thunai.
- The Verify Token can be any secure, strong password that you create.
