Workflow Integration for Chat Agents

Step 1: Enable Google Sheets Write from Agents in Google Workspace

  1. Navigate to the Application section.
  2. Locate and open the Google Workspace app.
  3. Enable Google Sheets Write from Agents.
  4. Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 2: Create a Chat Agent

  1. Go to the Chat Agents menu.
  2. Click Create Chat Agent.
  3. Fill in all mandatory fields as per your requirements.
  4. Click Save to create the chat agent.

Step 3: Configure Workflow for the Chat Agent

  1. Open the chat agent you created.
  2. Navigate to the Workflow section.
  3. From the Application dropdown, select Google Sheets.

    Either:

    • Select an existing Google Sheet from the dropdown, or
    • Click Add Sheets to create a new one, then select it.
  4. This sheet will be used to receive conversation summaries.
  5. Click Save to apply the settings.

Step 4: Verify Integration

  • After configuration, all conversations handled by the chat agent will be logged in the mapped Google Sheet.
  • Open the mapped Google Sheet to confirm that summaries are being recorded correctly.

Step 5: Test with Chat Agent Beacon

  • Open the Chat Agent Beacon.
  • Initiate a conversation.
  • The conversation summary will automatically be sent to the mapped Google Sheet.
