Thunai Chat Agents – JIRA Workflow Integration Guide
This guide walks you through integrating JIRA with Thunai Chat Agents for seamless ticket management and workflow automation.

Create New Tickets
Easily raise tickets through the chat agent interface.

Custom Fields Support
Map JIRA custom fields to the agent. After setting the issue type and field mapping, agents will collect this data from users during ticket creation.
Authorization (Optional Security Layer)
Enable OTP verification or other authorization methods before allowing users to create or check tickets for enhanced security.
Step 1: Enable Workflow in JIRA
- Go to the Application section.
- Select the JIRA app from the list.
- Enter the following details:
- Domain name
- API token
- Choose the desired project from your JIRA account.
- Click Save to apply the settings.
Step 2: Create a Chat Agent
- Navigate to the Chat Agents menu.
- Click on Create Chat Agent.
- Fill in the required fields with the necessary information.
- Click Save to complete the setup.
Step 3: Configure Workflow for the Chat Agent
- Open the chat agent you just created.
- Go to the Workflow section.
- From the Application dropdown, select JIRA.
- Choose the appropriate JIRA accounts where tickets should be created.
- Click Save to finalize the configuration with custom fields if required..
Step 4: Verify Integration
Once configured, tickets raised through the Thunai Chat Agent will be automatically created in the linked JIRA project.
Step 5: Raise Issues via Chat Agent
- Open the chat agent beacon.
- Start reporting an issue.
- The agent will prompt for required details.
- Based on inputs, a ticket will be raised in the configured JIRA project.
