Office 365 Integration with Thunai AI

Once Office 365 credentials are configured in Thunai AI, it enables seamless integration with your OneDrive and SharePoint workspace. Thunai supports both one-time sync and periodic sync based on your selected schedule. During each sync, relevant files and documents are fetched and updated in the Thunai Brain & Meeting Feeds , ensuring your knowledge base and meeting assistants always have the latest and searchable content.


Required Information

To configure Office 365 integration, you need the following details from the Azure Portal:

  • Application (Client) ID
  • Client Secret
  • Redirect URI (copied from Thunai Portal)
  • Microsoft Graph API Permissions

Generate Office 365 Credentials (Azure Portal Setup)

Step 1 – Login

Go to the Azure Portal:

https://portal.azure.com

Sign in using your Office 365 admin credentials.


Step 2 – App Registration

  • Navigate to App registrations
  • Click New registration


Step 3 – Register the Application

  • Enter an Application name
  • Under Supported account types, select:

    Accounts in any organizational directory (Any Microsoft Entra ID tenant – Multitenant)


  • Copy the Redirect URI from:

    Thunai Portal → Integration → Applications → Office 365


  • Paste the Redirect URI
  • Click Register



Step 4 – Copy Application (Client) ID

  • From the Overview page, copy the Application (Client) ID
  • Save it securely for later use



Step 5 – Create Client Secret

  • Navigate to Certificates & Secrets
  • Under Client secrets, click New client secret
  • Add a description and set expiry days
  • Click Add

  • Copy the Client Secret value immediately (it will not be shown again)

Step 6 – Configure API Permissions

Go to API permissions and click Add a permission.

Add the following Microsoft Graph permissions:

Microsoft Graph → Delegated Permissions

  • OpenID permissions:
    • email  
    • offline_access  
    • openid  
    • profile  

      Files:

    • Files.Read  

      User:

    • User.Read  

             Mail:

    • Mail.Read  
    • Mail.Send  

Microsoft Graph → Application Permissions

  • Sites:
    • Sites.Read.All  


  • Click Grant admin consent for Default Directory
  • Click Yes to confirm


Application Integration in Thunai Portal

Step 1 – Login

Go to the Thunai Portal:

https://app.thunai.ai/

Sign in using your Thunai credentials.


Step 2 – Configure Office 365

  • Navigate to Integration → Applications
  • Locate the Office 365 card
  • Click Configure
  • Paste the Client ID and Client Secret
  • Click Save to complete the setup


Step 3 – Schedule the Sync

  • Go to the Brain & Meeting Assitants section from the side menu.
  • Click the Add button at the top right and select Upload File.
  • Switch to the Periodic Sync tab.

    Select the Office 365 card and choose the integration key from the dropdown, then click Next.

    Select the data source you want to sync:

    • OneDrive
    • SharePoint

      Choose your sync preference:

    • One-time Sync
    • Scheduled Sync
  • Click Save.

Sync Behavior

Based on your selection, the chosen OneDrive or SharePoint data will be synced and updated in the Thunai Brain and Meeting Assistants.
